Napster free trial

So, dp gets a Philips govibe mp3 for Christmas, very nice it is too . The bumpf says as part of the package he gets a free 30 day trial with Napster. Googling shows everyone except us manages to take advantage of this free trial....but Napster won't let me join up. I fill the join-Napster page and it bounces me back to the homepage. The free 30 days thing is still valid (until June 10) Any ideas why Napster is bouncing me backwards? (or has anyone successfully used the 30 day voucher?)

Not registered my voucher yet, so not much help. Have you registered in the dim and distant past with that email address?

No, I've never even contemplated d/loading music before and now of course, dp, even more of a luddite than me, expects me to "sort it out".
I'll try again today, maybe it was a Sunday hitch.

Hey, mooching. It finally let me register yesterday, all hunky dory, let's me d/load onto puter and MP3, says it's part of my free trial......then today I see the dosh has gone out of my paypal account for it...I've emailed them (obviously) but at the moment am thinking fvck this, if it looks too good to be true etc.....

Just thought I'd let you know in case you d/loaded 500 albums in one day and then got burned!

I'm going to buy a bloody record player. I give up with this technology. It hates me.

PS Someone more geeky than me has suggested the "free trial" might just be that you can listen to everything on the napster site, but not actually get to keep any of it. I don't know, as I said, I give up!
