lcd tv question

what's the likelihood that a 13 month old baby can somehow damage the screen of an lcd tv?
we've just got one and dh is terrified that ds will damage it somehow with a rattle or something....

I'd like to know too as the manual for my relatively new TV says the least touch could damage it.

Wiki says "The screen may be especially vulnerable due to the lack of a thick glass shield as in CRT monitors, i.e., poking an LCD will cause a ring of color (popular with young kids) that can damage the screen."

But I'm not sure if a LCD TV is different than a LCD monitor

don't tell my dh! is this why we should buy a ludicrously expensive bracket and fix it to the wall?
