Sticky Keys?

Earlier ds managed to get the mouse so it would highlight huge chunks of screen and eventually confessed he had held down the Shift key and got a message about Sticky Keys to which he'd replied "no". Somehow in my fit of pique I seem to have disabled it again but can anyone tell me how he did it and how to undo it should it recur. Also is there any actual purpose to it?

The purpose (I think) is for people with limited hand movement. I think it's to do with allowing people to do ctrl-c with one finger....or something.

If you press ctrl or shift several times, you should get the message box up again....

press shift 5 times (on xp) gets the box up

in xp you can access the settings from control panel>accessibility settings, or in vista it's control panel>ease of access
