How do I download podcast to my iPhone?

I'm trying to do it via iTunes, but have no idea how.

I'd like to download some of the BBC podcast like the Archers omnibus.

It's not intuitive and the more I'm trying to find out via the help and Google, the more confused I'm becoming.

Can someone give me a simple guide?

thanks

I just went to the BBC podcasts site, searched for the Archers & clicked on the iTunes link in the 'Subscribe for free section on the right. (Though actually I did it with the 5Live football daily podcast, not being an Archers fan) Then it will appear in the 'podcasts' section in iTunes and you can either listen to it there or connect your iPhone, go to the podcasts tab on the iPhone screen & select the podcast - you can choose whether to sync all unplayed episodes or all or various selections. Then sync as normal.

They don't do an Archers Omnibus podcast yet. You have to do them for each day and they keep them for a week. Go to Itunes store, type in the Archers and then take it from there. Then sync as normal. You can also subscribe and it will do it for you daily but I found that it missed episodes.

Thank you - in the meantime I found another way of doing it by using the iTune app on the iPhone itself and searching for the ones I wanted while it was connected on our home Wifi.

I now have the Archers omnibus, two short stories and five episodes of the Independent's Spanish for Beginners.

Enough for several gym sessions!
