......and it's driving me mad!!

On my old laptop I just ran my finger up and down the side of the touch pad to scroll the page up and down. This one doesn't do it and I have to use the arrow keys.

I can't find anything marked scroll lock or simiular, and I don't have an instruction book for it - nor can I find one on the web.

It's a Toshiba Satellite U400 running windows 7.

Can any one help????? Please!!!!

this review says it doesn't have scrolling on its touchpad.

I also found this

Scroll:
Vertical: Move your finger up or down the right edge of the TouchPad.
Horizontal: Move your finger left or right along the bottom edge of the TouchPad.

So now I'm not sure whether it does or not!

useless advice really, as usual!

In my experience of Windows laptops not all applications support the scrolling function of the touchpad.

I have a Toshiba U300 & you turn virtual scrolling on via Control Panel-Mouse-Device settings tab-Settings-Virtual scrolling-check both boxes.(That's Vista though, so it may not be the same in W7) You can also change the size of the virtual scrolling area.
