Here is the problem
I have installed office 2000 onto pc,this is what I am used to working with.
However this new pc has come with a trial version of office 2007 and every document I write in 2000 and save as a 2000 doc, when I open it up it has magically transformed into a 2007 doc, which is sending me round the fecking twist.
how do I stop this?

It sounds like your compatibility mode isn't turned on - with mine, when I open an old document, it stays the same & the words (Compatibility Mode) appear in the title bar. (I'm using Vista, & my older docs are Word 2003, but I think it should be similar)
I can't find a way to turn compatibility mode on if it's off without going into the registry, but it may turn itself on once you have opened an old document & then re-saved it as a Word 97-2003 document. Worth a try anyway. If it doesn't turn on, then to keep the document in the old format you will need to use Save As & Word 97-2003 each time you save.
