hotmail account hacked into - what can I do?

Someone's got into my hotmail account and sent a spam email to everyone in my contacts list - is there anything I can do to stop this? I haven't clicked on anything suspicious or opened anything from anyone I don't know and it's only affecting hotmail not my other accounts. I have a mac not pc.

Oooooh - this happened to my hotmail account. I had nasty things sent via msn.

I had to do this:

Firstly - Tell your friends not to open it or they will get the problem too.

Secondly - Change your hotmail account password.
