How can connect a virgin media box, a blu ray player and a dvd recorder/upscaler together?

In english please? I asked Jeeves but he started telling me things about composites and s cables and my head exploded.

I have two scart leads, one annetna lead and one lead with red, yellow and white (audio, video and something I think?)

T'was me. I fixed it (sort of). I just needed DH to go and check the simple things I never think of. The scart wasn't in the Virgin box properly. Most of the speakers are working now. I know how to fix the rest and will do it tomorrow. But I done it.
