Treo palm

My brother died recently. He has a Treo palm, but I'm not sure exactly which model - it doesn't have a stumpy aerial, but that's all I can say.

Is it worth keeping this on? How do I find out who he's got a contract with? Will it take a sim card from a 'normal' phone?

Please someone, tell me everything you know!

Thanks.

I would say don't bother, TBH. They are not developing them, and although I think you can still get SIMs, it's getting increasingly hard to manage compatibility with PCs, etc.

palm.co.uk - support section - might give you more definitive answers - there is a link to forums?

Thank you. It seems horribly complicated (but then I don't really use mobiles even for calls!). It's just, like my bro, I like gadgets!

It is (complicated) but actually very good once you get used to it - but unfortunately has no future as it has been defeated by the combined might of Apple and Microsoft. Through a family connection (on which I won't elaborate for fear of outing myself) there were quite a few kicking around in our family but I don't think anyone is still using them.

Thanks for your help, stealthsquiggle. I'll go to the forum; I might have a quick look at e-bay - you never know what geeks are about and they often love old stuff!
