Gmail, or Googlemail as it is now. Have had an account for years and not one single problem ever.

SpringyDingDongMerrilyOnHigh · 03/12/2009 16:48

Google mail is quite good & commonly used.

Pineapplechunks · 03/12/2009 16:51

Was just going to come and recommend Googlemail, seems a popular choice.

My hotmail account has been shit recently I've not been able to log in for at least an hour everyday, sometimes for two, three or fours at a time. Perhaps mine has been hijacked too?

differentID · 03/12/2009 16:54

I use yahoo.

I couldn't get on with google

TheNattyPlus3 · 03/12/2009 17:17

google here. i wasnt sure about switching until i found out i can forward any emails from my old (hotmail) account to google so that i didnt miss anything i hadnt thought to switch over.

now fully google, and loving it.

worth the effort to change

teddymummy · 03/12/2009 17:17

A vote for Google here. Never had any problems with it.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 03/12/2009 18:40

Gmail (google).
I've never had any problems. You can set up several addresses and sync them all so you only need to log in to one.
Google Docs is v useful and the calendar isn't too bad either

MummyElk · 03/12/2009 18:45

Fastmail. brilliant.

Lapsedrunner · 03/12/2009 18:50

gmail seems good but have to say I have no problems at all with my hotmail

Anifrangapani · 03/12/2009 18:52

Another vote for either gmail or googlemail

catinthehat2 · 03/12/2009 19:01

Gmail all the way. It has its annoyances, but they are livable-with. Spam filter good, up & running mostly all the time. I binned Hotmail about 10 years ago as it was a pile of pants.

Polgara2 · 03/12/2009 21:58

Wow thanks ladies - googlemail seems to be very popular. Like the idea of synching several accounts.
Have had a Yahoo account in the past but wasn't keen - maybe it's changed will check it out anyway.

I have Gmail but have to have it through my Outlook as I can't stand the layout and how it groups messages together in 'conversations'. Very annoying IMO.

Rindercella · 03/12/2009 22:13

I have gmail and yahoo accounts and prefer gmail by a long way.

Polgara2 · 03/12/2009 22:49

VK - 'Grouping in conversations' sounds intriguing!

gmail

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 03/12/2009 22:59

I use gmail

VengefulKitty · 04/12/2009 18:46

Polgara - it is soooo annoying for me.

If you send a mail to one person it is not so bad. But if you sent one email to say, 5 people, if all 5 of them reply, rather than getting individual emails from each person, Gmail will group ALL emails into one in your inbox. It can get VERY confusing!

VengefulKitty · 04/12/2009 18:47

BTW Polgara - is your MN name anything to do with Buffy?

Polgara2 · 04/12/2009 18:54

Vengeful Kitty - I'm confused already just reading that!

No my MN name is from the David Eddings books - who is Polgara in Buffy then?

Google Mail without a doubt You won't go back.

VengefulKitty · 04/12/2009 19:27

Ahhh, just reminded me of my days gone by. It was a demon that didn't have a big part, but was mentioned a lot.

See, you are more literate than me!

As for the gmail, many people here, and many I know in RL like it.

It is not for me unless I have it going through Outlook, but I do have to admit, it is very bug-free. I just don't like the layout. Too confusing for my little brain! Better the devil you know for me
