Can't reinstall Itunes

I was advised to uninstall and then reinstall Itunes as it wasnt working properly and wouldnt update. Now I cant manage to reinstall it. Half way through the installation it stops with an error message. Any ideas anyone?

This happened to me. I googled the problem and found a site that had instructions telling me what to do. Can't remember what or how, I'm afraid, but it did work.
