Guitar strings..

Hi my DS' have classical and electric guitar which both need strings. They do not play these (well not to any level anyway!) and I haven't a clue. what strings do I need to buy for them do I just buy any classical/electric guitar strings. Thanksx

Go to your local music shop and ask them there. They should be able to restring them for you too.
If they don't play them very much then cheaper strings should be ok.

thanks PP. But is that all the difference is then the quality of the strings as opposed to having to buy specific strings for a certain make of type of guitar? My local shop aren't too nice which is why I want to buy off internet and get a friend to re string.

No, they are different strings.

Assuming they are standard size guitars, go for these for the electric and these for the classical. These are both good strings, you can get cheaper but they won't sound as good or last as long.

Different strings.DP swears by "Ernie Ball" strings iirc.The ones he buys for his electric guitars come in a virulent lime green packaging iirc,but it is best to go to a music shop and ask the professionals

Do they have a very loud amp for the electric guitar?I feel your pain,and dp is fairly proficient....
