Windows XP Password Question

On my laptop I have set up separate accounts for me, my DH and DD and put a password on mine (don't want them reading my MN posts LOL) ...every time I leave the laptop alone for 5 minutes it asks for the password and is driving me mad - I don't need this level of security - my posts aren't that exciting surely!

I can't find any way in the control panel to amend this - am I being really dim? I know how to remove the password but I want to just increase the time period

Anyone help?

It's been a while since I used XP but my best guess is that this is connected to the screensaver.

If you right-click anywhere on the desktop and then select Display Properties you should be able to find the screensaver bit. There will be an option for how long to wait before the screensaver kicks in which is the one you need to adjust, and another option to choose whether you'll need to type in your password to unlock it after the screensaver's been on.
