Struggling loading music and pictures onto itouch.

I have just changed laptops.

On the original it was Windows and loading pictures and albums onto my itouch was a doddle.

But, now I have a laptop which runs vista and I have tried a few times and CANNOT fathom out how to load pictures and albums to the itouch.

Does anyone run the same systems?

Any help advice greatly appreciated.

What happens when you plug your iPod in? Does it appear in iTunes?
