I've messed up the resolution on my computer. Please. Before I throw it out of the window, how do I fix it?

I'm an idiot.

On a netbook.

Stupidly changed the resolution so that I could download something. Now I can't change it back. None of the options are what it was before and everything's stretched and unmanageable.

And I restarted the comp to see if it helped and can't get back on as me as my user profile has been pushed off the screen.

I'm sobbing with frustration.

It's been such a bad day.

Please somebody help me.

PMT and the full moon has finished me off.

Fixed it with help of very nice neighbour. Wasn't available on the slider thing which was my problem. Had to go into an advanced thingy Adapter and authorise some non-recommended resolution. 1024 x 576 apparently. Thank God for that. MN is restored.

No slider? There's a thing. What system are you running?
