stupid questions about paypal from a dummy, ie me

please help, as i am not confident about this
someone has some electronic copies of paperwork i want. she wants £12 for it. and has givenme her email address. i've set up a paypal account. how do i pay her ? and ensure she sends me the stuff i want?

the general rule is the buyer pays first, then the seller sends the item. if she fails to do so you can open a dispute with paypal to get your money back.

you log into your paypal account and there's an option for 'send money', it guides you through it step by step and all you need is the email address of the receiver
