changing wireless network connection name

Hope someone can help me.

My son has set up our wireless network connection BUT....the name he gave it i want to change. I can't find anyway of doing this.

What type of router is it? Do you know how to log into the router?

router is a Thomson speedtouch.

i don't know how to log into the router.

It's bound to be easy but i can't do it!

What do you get if you enter speedtouch.lan in your browser's address bar?
