HTC magic google phone - anyone got one ?

VOdafone are trying to entice me to not go and get an Iphone and have offered me this saying its v. similar, has all the same functions.

To be honest, by the sounds of it, it sounds like it would do the things I want it to but just wondered if anyone had one and what it was like ?

I don't but I have the G1 (the earlier version) which runs the same android OS. I love it, and being significantly cheaper than the iphone but IMO superior web browsing, am really glad I got it. The only issue is that the android phones have fewer apps, but I don't use them much. The huge advantage for me is that gmail/ google calendar is a complete lifeline, and I could get easy access to these (particularly gcal) with the iphone.

ooh thanks - sounds good. They are offering it to me free rather than paying the (at least) £90+ for an iphone so am quite tempted....
