can you see a button at the top which says page? and it will have a dropdown list below it which has 'text size' there.

lynniep · 22/06/2009 17:20

in your browser window I mean (Im using internet explorer) there should be some buttons available and one will say 'page'

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 22/06/2009 17:23

No I can't see anything that says 'page' page style under view, page set up under file, I am a total incompetent at all things technical, I also cannot read anything in your message after 'there' as I can't see how to scroll to the left .

Would it be on the left hand side? How the feck do I get the screen to scroll across?

what browser are you using? eg

i'm trying to keep my
lines short so you can read all of
them!

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 22/06/2009 17:27

Miamla · 23/06/2009 07:46

sorry, had to pop out yesterday
are you ok now or
do we still need to keep the
lines short?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 23/06/2009 10:03

I don't know what they pressed,I have changed the resolution of my srteen so I can read stuff, on soem sites it is not too bad, but on here the font is unbelievably tiny, I can barely make out what I am typing, the letters are less than a mm high.

Thanks for coming back btw and any suggestions gratefully received.

hello, right, what mrvibrating suggested will fix it temporarily. for a permanent fix..

  1. click on 'tools' (on tool bar across the top of your screen)
  2. now select 'options' (last one on dropdown)
  3. now click on 'content' (on the bar at the top)
  4. click on 'advanced'
from here you can change the default font and text size
  1. click on OK until you've closed all of the windows

hope this fixes it!

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 23/06/2009 16:08

Thanks for that, all other sites google, ebay, other forums are all fine, but Mumsnet is still tiny?

Maybe someone is trying to tell me to spend less time on here.

I've had to put my screen on a resolution of 1280 x 800 and then drag it to the edges iyswim, to make it look normal (everywhere but here) I think it was 800 x 600.

If I leave it at this resolution and change the fort as you suggested on other sites the writing goes massive.

Stuck again.

Miamla · 23/06/2009 21:54

did you need to change the font to get
the other sites to look normal?

with mumsnet on the screen,
try pressing "ctrl" and "+"
Does that make the font
on this page bigger?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 24/06/2009 14:27

No I didn't change the font for the other sites and pressing control and + has worked for mn, I can see again , thank you so much for you help and patience.
