Help! Microsoft Outlook won't let me delete emails!

Every time I try to delete one an error window pops up saying

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

Which I've done but it hasn't helped.

Can anyone shed any light?

Don't know - but I had a similar problem when I had too many messages in my inbox.

How many have you got in there? Our IT people say you shouldn't have more than 1000 at any one time.

Try re-starting the computer rather than just Outlook. And if you're using a laptop, take the power cable out and the battery, and then put it all back and restart it.

I've resorted to using outlook express, which is pants!

I don't know if this is the right thing, but it may be worth a try.
