Setting up a second ipod

I've bought my DD and ipod for her birthday and I want to put some music on it for her.

I have put it on to charge on the laptop I use and it seems to have just copied everything from my ipod onto it

Have I done something wrong?

I want her to be able to access her own playlists, etc, although she does want some of my music on it.

Thanks in advance

You can set your itunes so it does not sync to the ipod. If you go to Edit > Preferences > Devices then check Disable automatic syncing for ipods and iphones.

You will then be able to click and drag music onto the ipod when it is connected to the computer. Hope that helps.

thank you so much - that's great, I'll try it now!
