Problems with saving open office documents in other formats

I am having problems when trying to save an open office document as a word document. It tells me that "document.sxw already exists. Do I want to replace it".

If I say yes it just saves it as .sxw and I don't get it saved as .doc.

Am also having a problem with trying to export as a PDF. I get the same message about .sxw already existing and then get another error message about Write Error. Document could not be written.

Anyone got any ideas?

I don't have open office, but will bump it anyway.

What happens if you save it as another name entirely?. I mean if you save it as test then you can look and see if it actually saved it test.doc or test.sxw or maybe even test.doc.sxw.

Will try that - thanks
