My laptop doesn't have a microphone jack. Anyone know how I get round this?

It does have an inbuilt microphone but this isn't sensitive enough for what I need (voice recognition software)

Any suggestions that will work with this software?

Thanks

Just a thought, I googled 'usb microphone' and it gets results so perhaps that might be an option? I'm sure you can follow that idea yourself to see if it is actually useful!

We got a little USB Audio adaptor like this which had two sockets. One for mic and one for headphones.

Maybe you can get one bundled with the actual microphone.

If your laptop has Bluetooth, could use a bluetooth headset (could then also be used with a mobile phone as hands-free kit).
