I've tried all sorts of things, but I can't log in, what do I do? I know the site and my passwords work because I have tried them on my old PC and it is fine....

...are you using Safari? This is usually compatible with pretty much anything. The one thing that sometimes happens is that the pop-up blocker stops log in, so check if it is turned on...

....I like this Mac only browser though. If problems with Safari persist, try this one....

Yes I am using Safari but the blocker is not turned on. It only happens with this one website and I can't do my internet banking! A bit of a random thought, but could it be because I am not in the UK and now the Mac is registered to me here?

...nope, I wouldn't have thought so.

You've checked your security settings?

...if not I would probably give up and try another browser!

If you don't fancy Omniweb, then there are plenty to choose from, many better than Safari. Try Firefox, or Opera...

I bet it is a security glitch from your bank not recognising the browser...

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/06/2009 20:44

thanks, I'm pretty sure all the security settings are fine.

I'd be surprised the bank doesn't recognise the browser, it's a big name bank and safari isn't exactly obscure is it?! Maybe I'll try firefox for a bit, do I have to pay for that Omnia one?

....Omniweb is free. Well, it is now

It bloody wasn't when I paid £35 for it, though....

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/06/2009 20:50

I'll give it a go, thanks!

I'm not surprised, its generally the big companies that can't cope with the concept of Macs. I'd try Firefox.
