How do I download and use a new font?

I want to download the Collegiate Heavy outline font as seen here or something similar.

Do I just click download and use from my applications?

Is it as simple as that?

Is it safe (thinking viruses and nasty hijacks and stuff)?

OK save the zip file to your computer and then scan it for viruses.

If it's clean, unzip the file by right clicking on the zip and saying extract.

It'll put it in a folder in the same place you saved your zip.

Then you need to drag the font to your font folder which is usually under C:/WINDOWS/FONTS

It should look like it's "installing" it. If that doesn't work find the file in the font folder and double click on it.
