iPhone - does anyone know if I can.....

change the settings so that it doesn't connect to the internet unless the named WiFi connection is working? I am tired of it using up all my credit because the dc's start fiddling with it when we are out and about or because it drops the WiFi connection at home....

Anyone know if it's possible to do this?

If you got to settings then networks you can switch off wifi there, and switch on the "ask to join networks feature". It's not quite what you are looking for but might help short term while someone turns up with proper answer.

You can also turn off the 3G: -Settings-General- Network & change Enable 3G to OFF.
This will also reduce the drain on the battery.
Or you could put a passcode on it to stop the DCs using it while you're not around - again go into Settings-General-Passcode Lock & enter a 4 figure number
