Parental controls on an iMac, anyone??

Our delightful 7-y-o DS is obsessed with the computer, and keeps sneaking on to MiniClip even though he is currently banned for bad behaviour (which would be a whole thread in itself, but hey ho).

Does anyone have any bright ideas for how to either password protect the computer or block certain websites? We use the computer for work pretty much all day, so don't want to be turning it right off and on again repeatedly - which suggests that blocking certain sites is the way to go. But we have no idea how to do it! We don't have any anti-virus programmes running on it - we had Norton on our old PC, and we had no problem setting up parental controls, but it seems impossible to us on the Mac.

We have an iMac OSX version 10.5.6 and are running Safari on it as a web browser (is that the word?)

Any techy help would be very gratefully received!

Bumping for you

DH did ours
We have different logins
The parental controls are in the settings menu somewhere but are quite easy to alter

Eldon - thank you!
Do you think you could lend me your DH?

He muttered something about system preferences / accounts

Eldon - you are a complete genius. I had a trawl around system preferences, and found 'security' - which offered me the chance to type in a password when waking the Mac up from sleep. I ticked the box, and bingo! The problem is solved.

Thank you!!!!!
