any ideas? should i get a new one or can i put it back? it's in pieces - I have been pressing the little button underneath the key but that has broken now as well!

DH is a computer whizz kid but he has told me that since he doesn't use laptops he doesn't know how to fix it

yes - but's bigger so wouldn't fit and I'm used to it being on the left!

you'll just have to relearn to use the one on the right

that or a new keyboard would only set you back a few quid, they're cheap as chips these days, tesco do pc hardware for next to nothing.

Tommy · 29/04/2009 14:06

can you get a new keyboard for a laptop?

yep here dp says it's a small enough job so if you bring in the part and the laptop to a repair shop it'd be done in half an hour to an hour and only cost you for the labour. (he's an IT tech)

or you could get a laptop that hooks up to a laptop via usb, even cheaper but probably annoying in the long run

hadn't thought you could! Thanks pinktulips
