c*d is following me (mind you, I see she follows several thousand people). I think that's when I started feeling nervous.

Right, my request to follow you is 'pending'. Do you have some sort of Twitter secretary? Anyway you have many more followers than I do. Do you know who they all are?

I get lots of people following me who want to tell me how to get a free laptop.

I think some people do searches for whatever word they are interested in and then if you come up in their search will follow you.

I think it was onebat I followed because I thought she would have an interesting life.....I will follow you if I can find you!

My DP is a twitter maniac - he tweets from conference platforms, took twitter questions while chairing a plenary session and helped another man whose partner had gone into labour unexpectedly!

But I just don't get it. I think I'm doing it wrong!

I got an email telling me that someone was following me but I don't even know what Twitter is. I must have signed up for it in a moment of drunken madness.

What is it? Where is it? And what does it mean if someone is following me?!

I am quite annoyed actually, i started following the 'real' wentworth miller [swoon] but he has nothing interesting to say at all, in fact he has started deleting his tweets after he has posted, boring fucker, i want to say somthing to him about it but will probably look like a complete loon

Apart from a few MNers and a couple of friends (which isn't saying MNers aren't friends, but ykwim) I seem to have organisations following me. I get random people following me who, on investigation, seem to be fronts for sales stuff, but I usually just block them. I just like reading all the random weird stuff, not amusing enough to contribute that much to it!

I think that many people set their Twitter to 'everybody' so that they see all the posts, and they just ask to follow you. They're usually people with some kind of agenda - I blocked one who was something to do with abortions.

I quite enjoy Twitter, and my challenge is to get the slebs that I'm following to reply to me. Is surprisingly hard!

I started following Policywonk during the G20. I'll go away if you like, PW, but tbh I haven't looked at twitter since, and probably won't. It's another of those things you join for a particular reason and then forget about, like facebook.

Oh no, please don't stop. Someone de-followed me recently and I felt crushed.
