iTouch issues

Does anyone out there know why my new iTouch won't copy 60% approx of my library across to it?

Am getting increasingly pissed off now, having arsed about since 2pm this afternoon

what format are the things you want to copy? It might be that you have to do "open with" and select an option... ( ? )

err that doesnt make sense does it? What i mean is, that they might want it in ma4 format and you are probably storing them in mp3 which is the norm - but apple is, umm,individual

it says (track)could not be used because the original file could not be found.

ahh. mine does that. All you have to do is find where you have the 'original' - like open the file in your windows or whatever music folder, click on it to "find" it, it will go across no probs. If I haven't explained that in words you understand then I can try harder to do english in a minute
Basically the i-thingy is an old lady and it forgets where it put things so you have to show it

thanks gigglechick. I will try that. Trouble is, I don't actually know myself where to find the files and computer gives me so many options to look in, I just think 'shite to that' LOL.

right, open the 'my computer' on your startup menu. then click on your 'music' folder, (not through itunes or anything), just the one like 'documents' or 'pictures'. when that opens you should see a bunch of albums or list of tracks.

Yeh!!! Sorted it. I had been assuming itunes was putting all my copied albums into my library, but it wasn't.

Pruners - I had to register my new iTouch using my old iTunes user name and password. There was an option to register it as 'new device or replacment device.
