This morning when I opened my Thunderbird email, everything was gone.....anyway to get it back, as I need a lot of the stuff, please??

I don't use Thunderbird, but while you are waiting for someone who does, you might look to see if the emails are actually still there.

How to find where emails are stored

If they are there you may want to copy the whole lot somewhere else BEFORE you experiment with ways to make them appear again. Just in case you accidentally delete them entirely.

Actually I misread that to mean that the whole lot had gone, but either way making a backup now before messing about still makes sense. They may be hidden for a number of reasons.

Wish I could suggest something else (where are all the Thunderbird users?)

Some people don't have their email on the PC at all. It just looks as though it is because it's stored on the email server and is listed in Thunderbird when you open it.

Not sure that helps because if so it sounds like it all went from the server, but it might be good to know why to stop it happening again.

In the settings for that account if it calls it POP it's on the PC, but IMAP means it stays on the server.
