All I was doing was explaining to my dad on the phone how to copy a movie onto DVD and I was talking him thru it (go into explore, ctrl c then click on the dvd drive and ctrl v) and now when I look at my movie that I made for work purposes and its really important, a lot of the clips aren't working, they are just black and the original clips that I'd split have got red crosses against them.

Arrrrrggggghhh, could cry. Anyone know what I am talking about and if you can help me then I owe you a big drink!!!

You were actually pressing ctrl c as you explained it?
Could you have done ctrl x then ctrl v which would have moved the files? That would probably explain why movie maker can't find them. In that case they are now where you did the ctrl v

Thanks Onagar. I had deleted it and found it in my recycle box. Old age
