My dinosaur PC runs a Checkdisk programme every time I switch the bugger on - is there anyw ay to stop this?

It says file system is NTFS and its checking C:

CHKDSK

It takes ages to run

I'd love to stop it doing it, its a recent thing

Errrr Windows XP and Firefox are the things I use!

If you follow the one in my 1st post, remember and put 'c' instead of 'd' since it is drive 'c' you want to stop it from checking.
