Free internet security?

Hi can anyone help me? I was told that you could get free internet security via McAfee or similar but can only find ones that charge. I had Norton but it was using a lot of my memory so I want to try something else, preferably free many thanks.

We had the same problem with Norton - left us with no memory - the one we use now is AVAST and it is free too - which came highly recommended by the computer company who sorted out the memory. It has also been mentioned on Martin Lewis' website - you know the guy who has lots of money saving tips. We have found AVAST to be fine. You get a short trial time and then have to register but it is all FREE. Hope you get sorted out soon.
