When I pasted in previous version of Word - I had an option not to paste the format

I can't find this option in Word 2007 - can anyone tell me where it is?

Just having a look now, if by any chance I can find it will let you know

well there's a paste special in the top left of the Home menu but
it doesn't work!
How ridiculous
I typed something, bolded it, copied then went to paste unformatted and it appeared bold anyway
Is that what you're finding?

none of the options do anything differently as far as I can see!

Ctrl+Alt+V brings up the menu

Aha - there is an arrow down & I pasted as unformatted text & that worked (didn't realise there was an arrow )

And you can set a default paste mode (without formatting etc) by clicking on the Office Button (top left), selecting Word Options (at bottom of window), and choosing 'Advanced'.

Thanks - that really helps
