What 'firewire' cable do I need to download video from my sony mini-dv camcorder to my mac?

Bump - any ideas, anyone?

Hi there - I recently bought a Sony camcorder and bought a Firewire or IEEE1394 cable from Asda for £10. It had interchangeable connectors so whatever the size of your connections (and I had no idea) this should do the job!! It should connect any 2 firewire products.

I don't have a Mac but does this make a difference in this case??

I did notice Asda now have a connector for £5 but that was without the interchangeable heads. :-)
