Backing up iTunes

What do you use to back up your iTunes onto ? Just had a close call with Windows crashing and want to back up dh's iTunes. Trouble is it is already 2.1gb so too large for cds etc. Can you compress the files in anyway ?

i need to do this too, mines 46gb though so i prob would be better getting an ext hard drive

i have just tried this but after half an hour ejected disc saying burn failed!
