Hi

I've just had SKYPE installed by well meaning relations however, now they can see whenever I'm online. So since one of them always seems to be on the PC they continuously ping me for a chat. How do I hide that I'm online or is it part of SKYPE experience that you can't? I work from home and I can see it is going to be annoying

You can appear offline or hidden like msn... I'll have to remember how to do it!!

You can set Skype to show you as offline whether you are or not. Down in the bottom left-hand-corner (I think) there's an icon showing you as online. Click on the arrow next to it and change to "Offline". And ta-da!

I believe there's also a facility that lets you set your status to offline for a particular contact but to appear online to anyone else. I'll see if I can work out how to do it.

No - can't work out how to do it. I'm sure LittleLapin told me you could do that!

Will search the archives and see if I can find it!

Thanks so much, I will do it right now!
