am looking for something to 'make do' with, as my pc is now 10 yrs old, slow, and sad!!

was just browsing on thigns near me on ebay.

my pc at the moment has 12gb, its a Tiny pc, with a bulky monitor, a copied version of windows xp, and a major attittude.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dell-Optiplex-GX280-PC-Flat-screen-Keyboard-and-Mouse_W0QQitemZ160314728940QQcmdZView ItemQQptZUKComputingDesktopPCs?hash=item160314728940&trksid=p3286.c0.m14&trkparms=66%3A4%7C65%3A 1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

my aim atm is to have something faster, less bulky, and to stick with xp till something better than vista comes along.

I only use the pc for online stuff really.

i wouldn't bid more than £20. it might be a complete pile of poo and you will have no comeback.

what is your budget

piratecat · 10/02/2009 11:55

i am going to be really vague here and say i mave no specfic budget.

If i could get a good tower/processor with enough hard drive etc and xp, then i guess up to a 100 quid?

i have no idea really if thats realistic. I can live with the monitor and keyboard i have.

check out this sort of thing if you are only browsing the internet you don't really need windows and you can use lots of applications online. plus you can take this out and about.

that looks great, but i wouldn't have any need to take something out and about with me. Very much a home user. We do like to use the pc for dd's games, cats5, um, and we like to use the printer too. Also use it for uploading pics and things from camera and phone.
