It is my dd's birthday soon and I would rather get her lots of games for her ds as opposed to just one, does anyone know where I can get such a thing??

n5 card from pc jerry plus you need a micro chip

singyswife · 06/02/2009 11:29

Is that the illegal one??? My friend has a legal one (she is very straight laced) which has about 50 games on it.

Thank you though I will check out pc jerry's

I got one for £20 and got 25 games downloaded onto it but obviously I think its illegal!?!

Tamarto · 06/02/2009 11:31

You don't get legal ones!

singyswife · 06/02/2009 11:31

where are you? I think you can get one from the net its called an
R4 Revolution for DS ( or something very close to that) search it on google and see

singyswife · 06/02/2009 11:34

I was hoping to get a game for my dd for her birthday but if the card is going to work out cheaper then I may as well get on of those. I will look thanks

So you don't mind if it's illegal?

You may want to point out to your friend that the one she has isn't the one and only legal one, if you think she'd want to know.

chocolatemummy · 06/02/2009 11:39

definately cheaper, i think you need to buy this and a memory card and you can put about up to 30 games on it, as most games are £15-£30 it is saving you around £200+!

singyswife · 06/02/2009 11:41

I dont have a problem with it being illegal. How much do such items come in at. I have looked and they seem to range in price depending on the size you get. What would I need. I dont want to confuse her with loads of games.

I got an R4 card that came with the USB stick and micro SD card that you need from a website called memorybits.co.uk. Cost £20. No games on it but you can download as many games as you want from mininova.org and they're free (but illegal).

I found downloading the games easy once I found that website. I found it harder getting the games onto the sd card but then realised that there are instructions on the memorybits website to download some software (link on that website) to the SD card first. Once I'd followed the link and put the software on it was easy.

HERE - used them many times and excellent service, don't know what the £ to $ rate is at the moment but still very cheap inc. Memory card.

singyswife · 06/02/2009 11:53

THank you I will show this to dh as it will be his job to sort it out. I just needed the information to give him.

Many thanks

The one I linked to is on back order but This one is in stock right now.

bubblagirl · 06/02/2009 11:55

i bought mine from website called tecknet and it comes with sd card and installation cd and adapter all for 21 delivered and have bought 2 from them very trustworthy great comms no need to download anything just install cd copy the folders onto stick take it out check it works in ds put back in and copy your nds files into the card and away you go i had it all workimng in under 10 mins

bubblagirl · 06/02/2009 11:58

minninova do lots of games also romsite they do 1 free game a day all you do is drag the nds file only onto the card and it will work it'll ask if you want to create a sav file when on ds click ok this enables the games to save data etc very easy as it comes with cd and instructions as well as the sd card and mini sd card adapter

Whats the difference between a N5 card and a R4 ??

bubblagirl · 06/02/2009 12:05

n5 is a clone of the r4 and very badly rated on forums as not working etc r4 however is more likely to work i haven't had problem with both mine it says to avoid n5

couture1 · 06/02/2009 13:16

Damn Ive just bought another N5 - first one did not work. Did not know about the R4 until I seen it mentioned on here.

bubblagirl · 06/02/2009 13:20

make sure you have the kurnall for the n5 on there and then try again they are older than the r4 from what i can see on the forums

couture1 · 07/02/2009 10:12

Bubblagirl - what is a Kurnall
