Turning round MP4 videos by 90 degrees

I've recorded some videos of DS on my mobile but now discovered that they need to be turned round by 90 degrees so you can watch them on the computer without getting a crick in your kneck.

Is there any free software I could download to do that as a permanant change...?

Not tried this, but I'm told VLC Player has an option to display it rotated (without changing the original file.

I don't use VLC Player, but many people say it's better than Windows Media Player etc for playing anything.

Thank you... I will give it a go but I actually want to change the original file so the orientation is permanantly round 90 degrees....

Anyone else?
