What sort of computer "nanny" control should I get?

Sorry, but I don't know the correct terminology - I am looking for something that restricts the DC's access on the internet.

I'm sure you all have one - what do you recommend and how do I get it?!

thanks in advance.

Will keep an eye on this for information - ds is very good at the moment - as long as my computer is on, he can (by himself, with no prompting) open up the internet and thence the cbeebies website where (for the moment) he normally stays (he occasionally accidently gets BBC news or similar!). However, as he's not yet 4, I think we will need some sort of protection soon and clearly, as dh is 'in' computers, it will be up to me to nag him until he gets something suitable sorted out - if I can suggest what he might get it will help speed the process up

Well DC are very ungeeky, but have friends (especially DS(8)) who know ALL sorts of websites!

I'd rather avoid the "no you can't go on that site (because I'm a boring mum)", and have it blocked and blame it on DH!

We've got Net Nanny.

Pesto, where do you get if frome - is it downloadable software, or do you buy a disc?

Sorry for being thick

I think you have to pay for Net Nanny. This is free and I've seen it recommended elsewhere. I haven't used it myself, so can't actually recommend it.

It's £20 from Amazon.

Thanks!
