Hi, I'm designing a book as a new and small part of an academic job. It's a standard prose book and I have finally got it to the point where it looks fine on the screen in the preview mode. The problem is that when I export my files to PDF the book title and page number move from the outer edge of the page to the spine side.

What I can't figure out is why the preview and the PDF would differ. I'm wondering too if it is the fact that I am exporting 'book' files into a single pdf that is causing the problem.

I've researched my way round all of the issues that cropped up earlier in the process, but my deadline is approaching, I have two small children very temporarily asleep and despite a lot of reading round the topic this one has me stumped.

I'd be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions. Many thanks.

Thanks Puzzlerocks. You truly are the patron saint of unanswered questions.
I put off posting for 3 days because I was sure I'd find the answer the minute I pressed send. In fact, it took those 3 days, pressing send, and 2.5 hours. Thanks again.
