1. I've been trying to investigate this - apparently you can create ringtones from tunes you've purchased from the iTunes store, but I haven't yet discovered if you can do it from other songs

How do you do it with purchased stuff?

Oh, there is a really easy way to make ring tones, I will see if I can find the website.

I have used done it, very simple and you can use any song that you have in iTunes.

Well, that worked right up to syncing - it appeared in my ringtones list on iTunes, I synced it had, but the ringtone's not in the list on my phone - so where does it put it?

Oh, it was a long time ago that I did it. I think it just appeared in my iPhone ringtones list.

I had a lot of problems with synching though. I had to delete all of my applications on the iPhone and download some of them anew. Very annoying.

Update - I synched my iPhone last night & the ringtone (Dr Who theme btw, yes, I know I'm sad) suddenly appeared.

Well, either that or it was there all the time & I hadn't realised because it was in a separate list above the default ringtones that I hadn't scrolled up to....

Funny how leaving it for a couple of days sometimes sorts itself out.
