I am wanting to set up a REALLY simple website for my business. My friend said he could probably do it as it will not be too complicated. However, I would like to have an email address and I've been wracking my names to think of a name for my business... however, I won't be registering as a company. I wondered whether it's still OK to purchase a domain name (and get an email address) which said XXXXXX.co.uk - because i'm not a company is it OK to have .co.uk? I'm confused.com about how this all works! Please help.
Thank you

You can have pretty much any domain name you like, as long as no-one else has got it before you. You don't have to be a company to have a .co.uk (or a .com)

I used streamline.net for my personal websites. They sorted it all. You buy a domain name - you can pick whatever is available. .co.uk and.com tend to be more expensive than .net for example.
