Monitoring childrens net use in Vista

I need something that will actually let me see later what they have typed - because I suspect they were being groomed by a paedophile. I have tried restricting their computer access but they need the net for homework and I am not sure this has stopped the problem.

This software has been recommended but doesn't run with Vista.

I hope they are not being groomed thats awful!

yes, it is. They think they were talking to a 14 year old but the nature of the conversation and suggestions to meet up had me really worried. Fortunately that person has not been on the website involved for a couple of weeks - under that name anyway. Suspect they twigged that someone was taking too much interest in their posts! Don't want to ban access to the site and be seen as an over-controlling parent but I can't not check up either.

Can I be quite sure this programme won't transmit information to America? Will a firewall block it? I don't want to create a bigger problem than I solve.

TBH Tatt I'm not really sure how it all works Maybe going to PC world or to there website there advisors would be the best.

Is it on a Social network site as you can make them block the users

I've reported it to the people who monitor websites. But I guess its pretty difficult to tell a 14 year old boy from a paedophile unless you can either trace the computer back to a known paedophiles home or let it proceed to the point where they arrange to meet and see who turns up.

I'm just going to make sure that I know if any meeting is arranged/ personal information given out!
