Which is crap - ITV catchup website or my laptop??

Tried to watch something on ITV catchup last night (wireless laptop) but it paused every 20 seconds or so for about 10 seconds to refresh. It had a little swirly cirle in the middle of the screen that notched up from 0% to 100% each time.

Made no difference if we watched it full screen or not, it just wasn't watchable in such tiny chunks, and would have taken up twice as much time to try and watch (DP has the patience of a gnat).

Does ITV catchup work for other people? Is my laptop just crappola? We manage to watch stuff on BBC iPlayer and 4OD with no probs.

Any help appreciated!

it is just loading slower than you are watching things. try pressing play, then once the adverts have gone and the actualy programme starts, pause it to let it load properly. This will let it buffer and load, and you should see a progress bar along the bottom that tells you how far it has loaded.
the amount of people on the site, and how fast your internet connection is affects how long this takes!
not an expert, but hope that helps!!

I'll give that a try too charlotte olivia. Was trying to watch Corrie catch up and it ran through the whole episode in stills.

hmm I did install the Silverlight programme, it didn't seem to help (although I didn't notice a '2' so I might have to try an updated version)

will try the pausing buffery thingy also

Thanks all!
