I need help quick!!! my laptop screen has gone funny and i don't know what to do!! HELP!

not sure whats happened it went a bit wired looking last night and i thought it was just the laptop batterey had died so i charged it last night and it still looks odd

the colours are all warped and i can't see the icons at the very top to close etc

does anyone know whats happened and how do i sort it out?

No, mine's summat to do with how big and fuzzy the letters are.

No doubt I've pressed the wrong button somehow.

could check the display settings. Sorry I don't know what you are running, but typically right click on the desktop, and display or configure display, and then check the last tab (I think) the one with the resolution and colours. You might be at a lower resolution with 256 colours.

i've just logged on under my sons name and his is fine

Ok, fixed mine. Screen res was too low.

right i went and changed it under my son's log in and have now logged off him and come back on under me and it seems to be ok now....

how odd

i thought it would individually set to each person? plus his was ok it was mine and dd1's that was going funny

ah well never mind its all ok and dp need never know
