Blogs - have got myself into a pickle - can anyone help?

I have decided to set up a blog on the google Blogger thing

but the idea evolved as I was doing it.

so I set it up using an old gmail address.

I have now set up a gmail address that corresponds to the title of the blog and want to switch to that email instead but it won't let me

SO I thought I would set up a new blog with the new email address but it tells me that the blog title that I want to use is in use - which I guess it is as it is attached to the other email address !!

I feel like I am going round in circles - can anyone help untangle the web??

Thanks in advance..

am not ignoring responses but off to bathe the boys before my head explodes - bbl

If you go to edit profile you can change the email address. You still have to use the old one to log on because that's now your username, but the new one is what will be used for everything else.

thanks Onager, is there really no way of changing it totally - I really want to delete the old email address totally. (I confuse easily and too many email addresses will make my brain implode)

I know just how you feel.

I found a way around this for me, but it may not work if you used a gmail account to start up your google account. I had used an email address of my own.

Try this and see. Click on My Account at the top of the blogger page and it should take you to your google account.

You may see this on the upper right.

Security Change email
Change password

If so changing that email is what you want to do as it also changes the logon for the blog.

If not then you may be stuck.

If setting up a new gmail address means you now have two separate google accounts there is another solution here

It shows you how to move the blog from your old account to your new one. This may be what you need to do, but it takes a couple of steps to do it.
