OK I've just been very brave and mananged to scan some stuff that I need to send somewhere.

I now have the 2 pictures which are opening with Microsoft Office Document Imaging, they're saved as .tif files.........but they're HUGE, and I need to send them and they're too big.

How do I do it????

You should post how you did it if you can remember. I am always being asked about that, but it depends what programs people have.

Most paint programs have a 'resize' and then a 'save as' where you get to choose the type too, but it's not always called that. Many people only have the built in Paint which is very crude and hides it away under "stretch/Skew" under 'Images'.

I'm using the HP Photo and Imaging Software.

Once I'd scanned I just clicked "save ^as" and selected JPeg - which was much smaller of course

I think LOL.

oh I'm going to have SO much fun after I move, I've got hundreds of old photos of school friends, and as some of them have posted photos of me on the schools group on FB I shall do the same to them
